Flotation tanks were invented by a neuroscientist named John C Lilly in the 1950s, who was using sensory deprivation as a part of his experiments on human metaprogramming. He developed the first version of what has evolved into the modern float tanks and rooms that you see today. Through his work he discovered benefits of using a float tank combined with the removal of external sensory input.

How it Works
You float for at least an hour in a room that is filled with about 10” of skin temperature water that has a high concentration of magnesium sulfide, otherwise known as Epson salt. By increasing the density of the water with Epson salt, your body will float effortlessly giving you the effect of being in a zero-gravity environment. This allows your spine to decompress and realign, relieving back & neck pain, as well as helping with muscular or joint pain.
Most importantly floating provides you with the perfect environment to unplug from your over stimulated environment and offers a complete relaxation experience to recharge, heal and detoxify. Epsom salt also has a high level of magnesium that your body absorbs replenishing and softening your skin. It is the ultimate mattress!

Please be aware that our rooms are reserved especially for you therefore appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice prior to the scheduled start time will incur a fee of 50% of the full price. No call, no shows will be charged 100% of the services scheduled. Gift certificates or vouchers will be marked as used.
Please ensure that you arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time for your first float and 10 minutes for subsequent floats. If you are more than 10 minutes late, we will need to reschedule to avoid scheduling conflicts. No refund will be given. Thank you for your understanding.
To start off we recommend trying at least 3 floats as floating has a learning curve and accumulation effect. The more often you float the better and more effective it becomes.

After the float is over, feel free to hang out, read, chat,or just bask in your post-float glow. Stay as long or as little as you like after your float is over.
